On behalf of the GOA NSW Inc. I’d like to personally invite you to our World
Goa Day Celebrations on Sunday, August 23rd. Please see details below and the
flyer attached. It will be a great opportunity to “go Goan” by dressing for the
occasion and enjoying a susegaad day . WORLD GOA DAY - is a day set aside by
Goans who are Proud to be Goans - to CELEBRATE their Goan Cultural Heritage, a
day to promise to help the less fortunate in our Goan community.
We will begin the day with a Mass at 11.00 am, at Holy Name of Mary Church, 2
Myrtle Street, Rydalmere, and thereafter we go to the Ermington Community
Centre Hall, 6 River Road, Ermington NSW 2115, at 12.15 pm where there will be
many FOOD STALLS with tasty, Goan culinary delicacies like sorpotel, sannas,
rice, curry, sandwiches, samosas, biryani, chicken kebabs, prawn molee,
chourico pao, goa sausages, rechard, pan rolls, potato chops, sweets – bibique,
chonia dosh, bolinhas, barfi, masalas, bhel puri, etc., also community singing,
Bingo and light entertainment provided by own Goan Members and Cynthia Pereira.
I look forward to meeting you at the celebrations. Please pass this email to

Club de Goa is celebrating 'World Goa Day' on the 23rd August from 2- 5 pm at
the Warrigal Road State School.
There will be a jam session and we would like all club members and friends to
come along to sing Konkani and all types of songs. If you would like to join in
please bring your music instruments and your voices for a fun afternoon.
The usual club day games will continue for all those keen to play.
For afternoon tea, besides tea and coffee there will be ' gorom gorom kanda
bhojay ani chonne ' ( hot hot onion pakoras and boiled gram/ chick peas) made
by Elena ( 0420603610) and Joaquim ( 0403111970)
Please send us an RSVP by the 20th August if you are planning to be there so we
can cater adequately. Please note that people who have not responded may not be
served afternoon tea as we will cater to those who have RSVP'd in the first
instance.
Normal club day fees will apply. There are a few Mando DVD's for sale costing
$12 for those who may be nostalgic.
Anyone wanting to bring authentic Goan snacks and sweets please do
