I'd like to point out that one of the conclusions of the work of Matthieu is that source-specific routing can be easily implemented on any hardware/kernel that supports policy routing -- see Section V.B of http://arxiv.org/abs/1403.0445 . This is implemented in Babel, of course. (Sorry for the blatant self-promotion.
