All, The IESG has indicated that they are amending their request to the NomCom [1]. After clarification, the IESG have confirmed that Francesca Palombini will be moving to the new WIT group. Consequently, the TSV Area Director position that was previously open has been closed. Nominees who are affected by this change have been informed.
The other change of consequence is that one of the two open ART Area Director positions is reduced to term of one year. Anyone who were concerned about the commitment of two years now has a rare great opportunity to gain the benefits of having been appointed to the IESG. With the churn here, both this reorganization and the opening of the IETF Chair position, we find ourselves needing more time. We have a number of nominees, but too few of those people have accepted; there are quite a number who have not yet made a decision. The NomCom will now finalize the set of nominees on 2023-10-12 (any time on earth). We have a special need for people to accept nominations for ART Area Director and IETF Chair. However, we are looking to improve the breadth and depth of nominee pools for all open positions.
