How can I view the websites with activex controls in my ubuntu 10.04 system?
There seems to be no method to run ActiveX in Gnu/Linux other than
to run IE on wine.
Besides that, I wouldn't recommend running ActiveX
as a rule of thumb the centrino certified laptops are the easier ones
to install any kind of open source distro, since intel is more open
source friendly and release their hardware documention so that even
third party developers can write drivers.

ubuntu's or debian's package site.
All programs will have several DEPENDENCIES and RECOMENTs.
Each of these dependencies have their own dependency further. And this

Feature-wise the best video editor is probably Cinelerra. But I
understand that the latest version may crash frequently. So it may be
better to install an earlier version.

Hi,
Ubuntu disk utility is very comprehensive compared to that of the windows.
It wont install unlike windows that just ignore bad sectors. You need to
change the disk or install buntu on an external. May be your partition table
is corrupt. To find out more go to Ubuntu forums and check my post
ur hard disk has bad clusters.. it cannot be corrected by softwares..
if u format a drive, ubuntu will mark all the clusters which has a
problem n will not write data onto it.. thus u can prevent data
corruption.. it will also check to see if the bad clusters can be
used, thus some bad clusters
