I've had some problems with spammers using my company's Imail

in my DMZ (we're using a PIX firewall), which has mail relay set to
"relay for local users". This server does in fact have users who

We have a very similar problem, except we are using oracle. Our problem
manifests itself when the db is brought down for backup. Until the imail
services are restarted, all logins fail to authenticate. For what
ipswitch's tech support has told me, the problem here is that imail is too

Hi everyone,
I have the same problem as Jeffrey Marsh mentioned yesterday,

Greetings all:
I am serving as the mail admin for a small university - approximately
13,000 users. We are currently using Netscape Messenger and are not
happy with it. IPSwitch mail is a leading contender for our new system
and I am very interested in hearing what others' experiences are -
Ali,
Is there something a need to set something within CompuServe software where
the user can logon into an external mail system?
My AOL users issue a setting for their messenger to let them logon into our
IMail.
I hope this is clearer for you Ali.
Thanks,

Well gosh, as a first guess I'd say this sounds like the AOL problem in
another guise. 'Specially since AOL now owns Compuserve :-( When I get
off-campus, I'll try it with my CSI account and report back what I see.
Meantime, check the AOL stuff in the KB (I can't remember the details)

Thanks Dusty,
I got some of your great Templates and it fixed the server display problem.
My problem now is that I use ImailTool to add users automatically on 3
different servers and it stopped working.
Anybody have this problem with ImailTool and 5.07?

Hi all... We installed the IMAIL demo on our network (we are thinking of
switching from NTMail), and we're having some trouble with aliases not
working. Here is the situation... any help would be gold!
Server is set up as mail.cyberspacehq.com
domain aliasing is set to:
In the alias field make sure you are separating the domains with
a space, not a comma.
cyberspacehq.com cyberhq.com
not
cyberspacehq.com,cyberhq.com
Make sure your alias users point to full e-mail addresses.

And what is the deilimiter you are using?? :) If I remember what I was
told when I had the same problem. A space is the delimiter for the alias
domains. rather than a comma etc
If that doesn't help, Sorry I don't know.
That did it!
Funny though, I would swear I saw somewhere in the documentation (or on
screen) that it should be comma delimited. Also, the comma delimeter worked
with mailboxes, but not with the aliasing.
Oh well, problem solved :-)
Thanks a million
Michael
Do you see any attempted deliveries in your log? Or is the error

When we made our switch everything went smooth. The

Just point the DNS records for the aliases to your Imail server

Hi every one
*We are using Imail server ver 5.04.
*The problem of our server is that it is not removing the files of the spool
directory automatically and we are removing the files manually becuase this directory
becomes very big and occupy about 500 MB in one day.
*If we do not remove
You could set up a batch file to clean out the spool periodically
using isplcln.exe.
For example:
cd\imail
isplcln -n 2 -l 2
This would clean out any log files older than 2 days and
any other files older than 2 days. Set the limit whatever is
comfortable for you.
I run a batch file nightly

I happen to remember 300 Baud modems and using a teletype to enter a program
in the "mainframe" which would be run as a batch file later that night.
