I just encountered this myself (not first time, but maybe the 3rd in about a
year) and using OE, I had to delete my user account and recreate it. Once OE
got all the messages again, it showed these problem messages and manipulated

now. All of a sudden (today) Outlook Express users reporting that OE is
downloading messages that have been previously downloading and marking them as

I worked around the problem for now, by adding an entry to the
//winnt/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file for the valid secondary address and
their domain name. I also spoke with the customer and gave them the DNS
misconfiguration information so that they can correct the problem I hope.

heard that i can change Imail to use the same thing. i looked in the reg
