It will if you tell it to, here, in the last line:
Mr. Dorman,
What follows is my opinion. I invite criticism.
Regarding your comment "It's amazing what one can find if they take the
trouble to RTFKB," I am taking that to be a form of ill-intended sarcasm.
If it wasn't (perhaps it was just light-hearted playfulness), then please
ignore these
Depending on internal political temperatures, that may be the best direction
for us, as well...

Guys,
I had a problem with extractusers.exe and sql. I did the extract and then
imported the users into MSSQL7 using MS DTS wizard on the fixed space text
file. I thought it worked quite well until I couldn't log into web messaging
because it would crash and in Imail Admin, the user list would

Hm... this wouldn't work for me, though. Since I am dealing with users on a
daily basis I can safely say that you may not expect a lot of cooperation
from them. Whenever I send any request by broadcast I usually get no more
than 50% responses. Others simply choose to ignore what I say to them. In
Excellent point... Maybe it's not so bad having stagnant accounts after
all... :) Maybe I'll just go back to Mr. Dorman's referenced KB article for
the DOS mod dates.

The lastlog.in file (or whatever it is called) - Is that located in the

Well, if you are sure that all of them are using standard e-mail clients,
and Web Messaging is just an axiliary system, then I would trace stagnant
account through timestamp on lastlog.in

David,
Web MSG could leave the attachment there, if it cannot be delivered to all
recipients. Has nothing to do with Message Max or Mailbox size. Those would
cause IMail to not accept the message, so there should not be any
attachments.

The prefered method of importing into MSSQL is to let extractusers do it
for you. The fixed width columns aren't used when the insert is done
automatically.
I'll add a quoted text qualifier to eliminate the import problem.

Does anyone know of a way to install Enterprise manager on a workstation to
connect to the SQL7 server? Or is there another utility you can use for
this? I don't want to install SQL server on my underpowered laptop.

Why does the message loose the HTML and show the source code when replying
or forwarding?
Because the HTML message wasn't properly multipart-encoded (with a readable
text part) from the perspective of the IMail web messaging engine. Remember,

I haven't done this in a while, but...
Assuming you're not running NT Server on your laptop, just run the SQL 7
installation. It will just load Enterprise Manager and the associated SQL
utilities.
If you're running NT server on your laptop, do the same as above, but when
the setup wizard asks,

Sure it does, it hands off to the Imail queue and gets delivered over
SMTP, just like any other msg.

It is in user directory.
You can get a list of them by using DIR command with appropeiate switches.
Then you can send resulting file into Excel or Access ang get yourself a
nice, searchable table, suitable for execution of inactive mail users.

Scott, your experience with rules working in an unexpected manner
illustrates the danger of piping filtered output to NUL instead of to a
directory where the filtered content can be examined in order to tweak the
rules. I've been using the Knowledgebase suggested rules for virus
filtering myself
You are welcomed to forward me the mail (if that is even possible) and I can
see if it causes me problems also.

If you open the main.mbx file on the server, you can see the text of the

If you want Ipswitch to look it over, send (to Support!) a copy of the mbx
