address an authentication issue and as I wait to see if that did the trick I
thought I'd post another minor issue that I'm having.
This is basically a cosmetic issue and I normally wouldn't care but an end

Because DNS isn't instant. Imagine making the change waiting 24 hours
for everything to propagate then having to re-enable it and waiting

Just an update. IPSwitch assumes unknown host to be an unrecoverable
error. Why? I don't know, as a unrecoverable error (a 500 error code) is
something that is received from the receiving mail server. IMail is making
it a 500 error code on it's own.

We use OL98 and OL2000 on Win98 and OL2000 and OLXP on Win2k and WinXP
with LDAP. Periodically we have experienced this problem on the Win98.
When restarting the PC fails to fix the problem we remove LDAP from the
OL Profile, restart the PC and then re-add LDAP to the OL profile.

just / or even ./ will work. Don't ask me why but it is just what I have found.

when I open my Imail manager the right pane is shifted to the lower right
and I can't see all of the settings.

that I've disabled ASP on my webserver completely for security purposes. I
will have to undo those changes to use the tools you are recommending.
As for the PERL script, it only has a problem if you pass it

Packeteer. Both have their strong points. I liked the gui of the packeteer
better.

answer. We wish to use Imail as a gateway for incoming mail only in
front of Exchange. We have created only a bogus host name within Imail
called bogus.com. Modified the MX record for the real domain to point to
the Imail box.
