Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help.
I have an email server with an account that is setup to forward to a list on
that same domain. The reason it forwards to a list is because of the number
of email it needs to go to. Anyway... the forwarding worked until a week
ago. This is what it is
Stupid me it was DNS settings that didn't update on the Imail SMTP after
I changed it on the NIC.

Well when www.blackholes.us gets back online (they are up and down randomly)
you can get a list form them.

Hi all,
- I downloaded the Premium trial version of ICS 2.01
- Installed it on a windows 2000 and 2003 server
- in the Imail administrator, the antispam branch under each hosts' root
does not show up ...
Am I missing something?

It only appears under hosts that are assigned an IP. Virtual hosts use the
settings under the default host that you installed it as.

My question: Will using the control access mentioned above block
Incoming AND outgoing? Or just Incoming?
It will block all connections to SMTPD from the banned addresses, as
there is no way of knowing whether the recipients will be local or
remote before the session begins.

Hi,
I created a host with an assigned IP, and yes you're right it does show up.
Could you be more clear though on how the virtual hosts use this? Eg, if my
main IP host is using premium antispam to add x headers, will my virtual
hosts do the same?
Cheers

Yep. All virtual hosts use the same settings as the main/official host.
Other IPed hosts have their own settings.

Not to be picky but, the Virtual Hosts will use the settings of the domain
that is bound to the IP they connect to. Not necessarily to Primary domain.
In fact we have users that use a dummy domain bound to a different IP to
control who gets Anti-Spam/Anti-virus scanning.

Ahh... well that's only in the newer versions of IMail that allow binding
virtual doamins to a particular IP, correct? I don't remember when this was
introduced, but it was either 8.1x or 8.2.

Okay, I've done that. Another set of stupid questions:

This may have already been reported, but I found out today that a bunch
of Verizon's IP blocks were erroneously listed by some external
blacklisting service, used by AOL and EarthLink to deny connections from
dialup\dynamic users. If you are on Verizon pipes and can't send to AOL

They've been on a number of blacklists for at least a couple of weeks now.

Search the archives: IMail mailboxes are in Unix mbox format (with a
proprietary index file, which is not necessary to import).
If you Google, you'll see a variety of scripts to get mbox files into

Sorry to keep dragging this topic on... but I'm pretty sure when I installed
ICS 2.01 premium, and it asked me for my host, it set it up as virtual and
not with an IP... so the tab wasn't available.
