I have a laptop running Outlook 2003 and it has an IMAP account on it with
a larger number of mailboxes, but not too much mail. About every other day
or so it won't complete a send/receive and the only way to fix it is to
remove the IMAP account and re-add it. After this, then the

spamware. The message body has just five numbers, nothing else.
Anyone else seeing this?

My users aren't seeing any of it either, but I did find some in my ASSP spam
honeypot addresses.

Several times now we have experienced a strange problem we cant track down.
Our mail server (8.22) will not send emails. It will receive the emails
(we use Declude) scan it then put it in the spool folder.
When you look in the log files you see entries where it could not
connect to other mail
A rogue application may be periodically fighting Imail for the outgoing
smtp port, or you may have a shady NIC. During this period of outage,
are you able to telnet your local IP and if so, what answers?

Also, during failure, can the server resolve the names of remote mail
servers? Is DNS functional? For that matter, can the server initiate
any sort of outgoing connections while in its failure mode?
What errors do you see in Imail's log?
