with Outlook 2000. For instance, posts coming in with my name in the
sender's field, even though the message wasn't sent by me.
Restarting Outlook often solves the problem, but sometimes rebooting is
necessary.

utilization and the machine starts acting like it's got a leaky VB app

On the mail2 machine, what do you have set up in Imail Admin?
For example do you have mail2.cport.com with an alias of cport.com?
It's not mentioned in the instructions, so I didn't do it. Should I try
this?
