Doing a search for MX records on ucjewelry.com brings up MX records for
ucjewerly.com. Doing a search for MX records on mail.ucjewerly.com brings
up MX records for mail.ucjewelry.com.
When you search for MX records for ucjewelry.com and it says

In the admin tool it will show you that you are at which major/minor version

I know 8.15HF2 corrected vulnerabilities found back in May 2005 - but do
these new vulnerabilities affect 8.15?

I think this may be a known issue with Declude - there was an option in the
newer version to reset WINSOCK. I beleive the command was WINSOCKCLEANUP
ON in the declude.cfg file. FWIW - I would probably contact Declude
support to make sure.

URI filtering is very effective at stopping these kinds of spams (assuming
the domain is listed). SURBL/URIBL tend to grab on to these fairly quickly.
URI blacklists are designed to catch this kind of stuff since it focuses on
the spamvertised link / image.

Are you running chkdsk while your actively passing mail?
From: KB187941
CHKDSK may report that a disk is corrupted even when there is no real
corruption present. This can happen if NTFS happens to modify areas of the

You need to set the content type property to html. It defaults to text.
Also, on an ASP page you should use Server.CreateObject instead of just
CreateObject.
Mailer.ContentType = text/html

I havent seen this brought up yet, but for those of use who have an existing

From what I am reading is that while it doesnt affect delivery it affects

I am curious are you forced to upgrade due to the smtp32 bug that has

We had the same problem with 8.05. It got alot better when we updated to
8.1x. So I would recommend updating to the latest version.
Also, one of the things that we did during the 8.05 period where the service
would stop was use a utility we wrote (QueueMon) to monitor the queue and
when it
there any tool that does this all automatically?

Nika,
Spam patterns change all the time. You have to tweak and monitor the
incoming spam to stay up on blocking it. I can't speculate on your
configuration, but I can say that we have to tweak our settings to stay on
top of our game...
Travis,
It depends on what you classify as the inside of your network. If your
using RFC 1918 address (private) than you will need to do some type of NAT
translation to get to your inside. Private addresses are not routable on
the internet.
But if you define the inside of your network as
Jeff,
We have experienced the same situation under 7.15. No errors at all to
include nothing in the event viewer or Dr. Watson. We opened a support
ticket with IPSwitch, but we never had anything to go on. They advised us
to upgrade to 8.x and see if that helped. We did upgrade our backup
Goran,
If the message is being sent directly from your server it pretty much says
the problem is on their end. Its very possible it is bouncing between
several servers on thier end trying to find the address until it exceeds the
max hop count and thus returning it..

Is this a domain local to the server or are you are gatewaying for? I seen
this error before when I was gatewaying for a domain and I forgot to put in
the remote mail servers ip address in the relay for addresses tab.

Frank,
You might want to disable the Imail anti-spam functionality. Maybe that is
causing the problems since it is the last line in the logs before starting.
Another thing is that we wrote a Windows based service called QueueMon
that monitors the Imail queue for backups. You can use this
I had the same problem not to long ago. What is happening is that your mail
server is trying to send mail to yahoo.com and aol.com using the A records
for those domains.
I submitted a ticket to ipswitch about this and they said that this occurs
when you attempt to look up the mx record and a
Marcel,
One thing you will want to do is apply the latest patch as there has been
several patches that address QueueManager problems.
We experienced the same type of queue issues when we upgraded to 8.0.
Although, since we upgraded to 8.05 it has been minimized. Also, in order
to give us
I would should them down unless you have a need for them. We do not have
them enabled on our servers. The index service will chew up a lot of
resources expecially on a busy mail server..

We have had some Queue backups that were related to either the queue manager
service stopping, dns server failure, smtp hanging, or your general huge
influx of mail either way we didnt catch this until the queue was pretty

We have seen the same problem starting at version 8.0. It seemed to get
better with version 8.05. At one point the problem was so bad with the
queue manager we would have to stop and restart it a couple times a day. I
have been holding off on the 8.10 upgrade until the verdict is out by the
