Thanks to all for the good info.
I think I'll sit and wait awhile before doing the upgrade. It's not urgent
anyways.
Install without formatting was going to be my approach. Imail is

I would love to know what that tip is.
I upgraded to win2000 from nt 4.0. I am using SQL 7.0 on a PIII 800 with
512 Ram and 7200 RPM WD drive and it seems much slower since the Win2k
Loading even after doubling the memory!

I am fixing to start the process of upgrading from 6.04 to 6.05 and apply
patches.
Just looking for any hints or pitfalls I should be looking out for.
Thanks,
Ken

Does anyone want to talk me out of this before I upgrade? When version 6
came out, it was initially met with a lot of resistance from this group.
With 6.04, is it a worthwhile upgrade from 5?
Secondly. When upgrading from 5 to 6, do you need a new serial #,
activation key, or something to that

I upgraded from 5.08 to 6.04 as well with no problems. The only thing that
seems to be wrong is SMTP is acting up at times. It's a little slow and
times out periodically. All went well though. I'd go for it.

I will say that after the reboot of installing 6.04, this is the first time
the server has rebooted successfully without one of the processes crashing.
Normally it reboots, the processes crash and I just restart them and it hums
along from there but this time they didn't crash!

Hi
I am about to upgrade from Imail 5.06 to the current version 6 and as I am

Will I have to restart my NT server after installation? Will the
