Hi Chuck- The simplest way to avoid generating bounces is to have the primary server accept mail from you for all addresses and delete them silently on its own. But that does not protect you from a heavy dictionary attack that can bring down both the primary server and your cache. So we use

I am wanting to configure a backup spool someone else in the world, actually about 10 miles away from the primary, and I don't know what to set Mail Relay Options to for the backup spool. I don't want just anyone to be able to send mail, but I can't open this up to relay for everyone

Can a wildcard setting like this be done?! Wildcards are the opposite of what you're talking about; if you want to run store-and-forward without being an open relay, you have to allow relaying only to specific domains while banning all others (i.e. banning wildcard domains). --Sandy
