I started using paragon.ag drive copy for imaging. Works well. Also, see
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ for a cd boot disk to restore the images. These two are
a perfect combination. I cloned about 14 workstations Saturday in about 2 hours.

We do all three, just
depends on the client, how much data they have to backup and how much they
want to spend.
1)
Iomega REV
Drive w/ CAs
ArcServe (works great, very fast)
2)
Iomega
there are similar

Of course the problem with relying on a Snap drive (or using a similar type
philosophy of backing up to a hard disk located within the network) is what
do you do should you have a fire, break-in, etc?
Certainly such a solution is not for everyone, but I use protable
drives for a second offsite

3) NovaNet Web as a service (works really well for under 1GB of data
to backup)

[Also off-list.]
If you are backing up more than one box: TapeWare.
If just backing up the server, do look at BackupAssist, which is a
user-friendly overlay for NTBackup w/alerts and such. Nothing'll be
cheaper.

Take a look at Symantec's (Powerquest) V2I program SB edition runs approx $600 and a
second harddirve.
This will allow them to image the complete system for both complete recovery or just
allow single file recovery. It is faster than tape on both backup and recovery. If

Troy,
We
host a remote backup service for our clients. We do consulting for small networks and I
