You need 2006.2 to run it.

Not 2006, it's web admin only until now.

Not from a remote location. Sounds like this will allow you to run it
on a PC and connect to the server from that PC. Instead of PC Anywhere
or Remote Desktop.

You can enable web admin from a remote location. The advantage of the
IMail remote console may be a faster interface than the web browser, and
more mass-user admin options.

It's using .net 2 security. The service on the remote machine requires the
client have a valid user/pword for a user on the server. You can also turn
on encryption of the data between the remote and client machine.

With limited security knowledge that sounds good to me as long as the u/p is
encrypted during logon.

After installing on a W3K, R2 server with all patches, the following error

The preferred place for feedback is the web forum for the admin.
Is that a 64 bit machine? Have you installed IMail 2006.2 on the machine?

The preferred place for
There appears to be an issue running the console admin on a 64b OS. What
seems to be happening is the app is getting loaded into .NET as a 64 bit
app, but the support dlls are 32 bit dlls so we have to find a way to tell
the OS to run it as a 32 bit app.
