Something else interesting.....Watching the spool while problem #2 is happening, the return mail try's to send to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] first then tries to go to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as if the alias was a list server list.
Any ideas? Another note on first problem. I can delete alias from the web administration, but not the server console. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Kenneth Bird Sent: Friday, November 09, 2001 4:49 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] cannot delete item Product: IMail Server 7.04 OS: Windows NT Server 4.0 2 Problems after upgrading to 7.04 HF1. (Applying HF2 did not help) Problem #1 When I try to delete an alias from the Imail administrator console, I get a cannot delete item. Problem #2 Has anything changed with the way a program alias works? We have a program alias that points to round robin software . All email that is sent to this alias gets routed correctly through the round robin except for failure notices. In other words, when an email is sent out using the alias as the from address to an external address. If the address is incorrect we never get a failure notification. Before 7.04 hf1 and 2 we would get a notice sent back to the alias which would then point and send it to the round robin group. This no longer happened the day we upgraded. Any ideas?
