Is it okay to have two dns servers (both are currently working) listed in
the smtp settings? We currently list both dns that was provided to us by
our T1 provider.
In the past, it was recommended to have multiple DNS servers.
However, the recommended practice now is to only have one. A good

Apparently, it is OK to have 2 listed, but only the first one will be
used. Is their any way to specify a backup DNS server to IMail?
I never understood the advantage of Imail having its own single DNS
setting, independent of the ordered list of DNSs accepted by the Windows
resolver.
I think
I looked in the spool directory and there are 13,000+ files in spool AND
another 13,000+ in spool/overflow -- OUCH!
Is the CPU usage at 100%? If so, you're probably experiencing a very high
volume of E-mail.
If not, you should check your DNS settings in the SMTP section of IMail

own mail server (where these emails are sent from, at home, on a cable

Did you test Scotts DNS question. Can yo do queries from that box to the
DNS
that is in imail.
Try a NSLOOKUP setting the dns server to the one setup in imail.
Are the messages in the queue legitimate email or have you been hijaked???
Is your server
failed lookups on the bad
server before going over to the good server.
Thanks all.

And that appears to have been it. Spool/overflow were over 17,000 each when
I removed the dead server. They've both dropped under 15,000 in the last 20
minutes.
Thanks again.
