Perhaps I've missed this... but is SPF not supported by the current release of Imail
itself?

That is correct.
So, is there an addon, or planned support for SPF?

I have to assume somebody out there has an answer... since IPSwitch doesn't seem to.
I host many mail lists on one of my domains, and have more and more bounced emails
coming back to the admin account for each list. Basically, someone subscribes... then
at some point, loses that email address,
I'm still not convinced of how useful this is going to be in the short
term, but our biggest fear is that, irregardless of its capacity to
lower spam, the big guys (AOL, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc.) are going to
demand SPF at some point, so I'm already working on getting the DNS
records written to

I am thinking about doing an upgrade on one of our installs, which is still on
8.1x. I assume
upgrading will not be a problem from this old version (technically)?
Also, what consitutes a user in the new version? I assume mailing lists,
list users, alises,
etc do NOT count as a user? Also,
We are working on a update for 8.22 which will include one DLL that needs to
be copied over the old one during a stop / start of smtpd32. I'll post a
link here as soon as it's available.
Tripp
What about an update to 8.1x?

I suggest talking with the product manager, Kevin Gillis, about 8.15. The
update for SMTPD I'm posting will ONLY work for 8.22.
I can definately tell you 8.15 has the problem

So am I to understand that ASSP somehow prevents the vulnerabtility from being
a problem?

Installed ASSP 4+ days ago, and all seems fine. Except I'm getting A LOT of
valid email
blocked via the Beyesian filter. Is there a way to make it less sensitive or
something?

I second that.
I had the same panic when I first ran it.
Just watch the spam notspam folder for 2 weeks and make sure you manually
clean it up.
Then follow the last steps of the doc and go live.
It works wonders!
2 weeks huh? Long time. So don't run the dbupdate until after the 2 weeks?
I spent about two weeks training the Bayesian filter before I was happy
with it. Those two weeks were very time consuming (and dull) spent
moving messages between the spam and notspam folders (frequenting
rebuilding the spamdb) but in the end the filter works well. If you
know more than I,
Curious how the Imail Plus spam features, etc work. Very happy with it?
Haven't used yet?
anything? :)
