Very cool, Jarrett! Once I figured out we had to set
our SMTP and POP services to use the Log Server instead of the default
sys1112.txt log file, installing and running was a piece of cake (6.05a on Win2K
Adv Server). I noticed that we can set IMAP to use the Log Server, too... will
your
IMail Admin | localhost | SMTP and POP tabs | Switch
the "Log To:" selector to "Log Server", then Apply, stop and restart the
services.

How is that supposed to work Ron? Here is what I have found. If someone
goes to one of my domains from the net using mydomain.com and it
mydomain.com uses a virtual ip address, they will have to log in
using their
full email address. However, once they are there if there is a link for
them
try "||" (two pipe
characters) instead, which is the ANSI standard for string concatenations...
but since SQL Server 7 throws an error on the pipes, I'm guessing SQL Server
6.5 will like the "+" better, too.

I would like to be able to put a users email address at the bottom of my
list servers trailer.
Example: "You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
Is there a way to do this in Imail 6.05?

help determine what file you're looking at, you can usually
do a View Source on the page showing in the browser, and the file name is
commented just below the title tag.

messaging service only recognizes the existing .html files; you cannot add
more. Makes doing a frameset a bit of a challenge, believe me. :)

7 will allow admins to set the defaults for new users.

Correct. We have a program alias on "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and
that alias has this entry:
imailsrv -remove domain.com listname
Bingo bongo, user is unsubscribed.

The list server for Imail 6 - is there anyway to set it so that when you
send a message out you can have the email address listed at the bottom?
as in:
This email has been sent to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
