Because their product is SO good that the overall support costs are lower.
I would actually think that Cisco would have far more support issues than
Ipswitch due to the relative complexity of their products. While quality of
the products is certainly a large factor, there are only so many ways

the prevalent solution for the Windows platform but I find its searching

Peronally, I always backup the old server and then try to upgradeit
to the version of the new server *before* moving anything. When it is clear the
upgrade is successful,

I just upgraded from 7.07 to 7.11 with hotfix.
The good news is that email is functioning.
The bad news is that the Imail Administrator isn't working. When I start it,
it shows up on the taskbar, but no window ever shows up.

Did you have it open when you ran the upgrade? This could account for
it. If this is the case, just close everything (and hit the
process list,
make sure *everything* is closed), and run the update and hotfix
again. Reboot if possible, and try again.
