Probably the best way for it to detect the half duplex links is packet
drops.
The switch should go yellow or red if CRC errors and packet drops are
detected on that circuit.

Is the web gui modifiable to include this data

Are there any facilities to generate top reports? e.g., top 10 %
utilization, top 10 transmit/receive, top errors, lowest uptime, oldest
unreachable since, etc?
Even if the web interface 'full' reports were sorted, it would be an
approach.
If not, please consider it as an enhancement
Hi everyone
It's been a long time since I have created any probes. However, I now manage
a bunch of HP Proliant servers, and so I have built an Intermapper probe for
HP Proliant servers that pretty much does what HPSIM does.
It monitors the hardware status for CPU, memory, power supplies,
Hi Joe,
I would love to give this probe a try, but I think there might be a
MIB missing
After I've imported the MIBs in the zip file, I'm getting this error
when I try to import the probe:
03/24 14:44:14 dbug com.private.snmp.hp.proliant.txt: error parsing
OID:
So sorry about that, I forgot to include the MIB.
I have updated the ZIP file with the right MIB
Thank you for catching that so quickly
Cheers
Joe

Hi Joe,
Probe works fine for me on these dl380 g5's. I will test it on a new blades we
have - BL680c G5 and BL460c G1 and report back.
Also I will eventually test this against the c7000 chassis itself.
One question, cpqHeEventLogCondition returns 4 for me. I just cleared the

Hi Jeremy
Thanks, glad it's working for you
Regarding the cpqHeEventLogCondition = 4 issue - as you say, IM is working
properly in that it is simply polling the cpqHeEventLogCondition value.
You would have to investigate on the monitored host as to why it is showing
a 'failed' condition. I
Did you have to do something else other then editing snmpd.conf on the ESX
host and starting the snmpd?
For some reason, I get no readings in the probe. I have VMware3 running on

Answering my own question - Yes. Order was important. I needed to do
the host one first. The hlth one also depended on one of the other 3
(not sure which - I did it last).

I have an issue with duplex detection with Intermapper.
I can probably get several screen captures of where IM says the interface is
at 100FD but the switch says that the interface is at 100 half.
I tend to believe the switch when this happens
