All this is true; recently I took a humble (about 50%) participance in
an attempt to revive the very old "jBASE basic.pdf"...

There is certain set of introduction chapters that might help
beginners I believe.

Actually it's not officially adopted by Temenos (despite the hosting);
it's just a mirror of an "open-source" documentation - original is at
Github:

Alexander Demin posted here an announcement some time ago but I afraid
it went mostly unnoticed because he mentioned "T24-related mostly"...
no, it's not. Most examples are pure jBASE.
