Hi, I don't think jBASE COPY command was either designed or tested for copying binary data. Just tar/gzip that data on machine 1, ftp it (binary mode) - or use scp etc - to machine 2; then uncompress there. And - last but not least - jshell handles sertain characters differently (like $ or ) so
