The rule I use:

  • Reducing/increasing coverage = -10/+10 for each percentage of line coverage, with a minimum of -1/+1.

E.g. 0.3% improvement gets you 3 points, -0.01% gives you -1.

I've been running with this for a week now, and it works well.
