[jQuery] Autocomplete giving error in Firefox but works in IE 6

Autocomplete not working in Firefox but works in IE 6.  Getting an
"val is undefined error" in Firefox Error Console which points to the
parse() function in the autocomplete.js.

Any suggestions?  Mind you I'm a newbie at jQuery but advancing
decently.
