I'd like to add that the following works for me (and can be used as a
workaround):
1. Add the following lines to /etc/request-key.conf:
create cifs.spnego * * /usr/sbin/cifs.upcall %k
create dns_resolver * * /usr/sbin

I confirm this, and would like to add that for me I can access such shares (SMB
with DFS) in Thunar file manager.
I would love to the this functionality in Dolphin of course, since it is
superior for everything else
