The UI was there in KDE4. It was lost in KDE5. Do you have a reference as to
why it was removed?

AFAICS, the removal of the UI was intentional because it is in-line with the
comments in bug 57240 (e.g. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57240#c75).
Also I don't see a UI being added for this.
