Seems to be triggered by resume-from-suspend. Random digits are missing from
the clock. Sometimes from the time, sometimes from date. Only way to get them
back that I've found is to logout and back in.
Spectacle is not able to take a screenshot of the panel, so I'll attach a phone
pic instead.
