I don't know. I had no timeout but a Server Unavailable. 15 error when
Exchange disconnected.
For the fix you only need the imap resource (from kdepim-runtime).

Well, I only fixed that Exchange hasn't to cope with unknown IMAP flags and
complains with errors. And unfortunately there is no IMAP flag like has

There is no standard IMAP flag for forwarded, so this must be stored in Akonadi

I had the same problem.
I moved away my old maildir, removed the resource, added a new one and imported
the old maildir. Not all mails were imported. Maybe my old maildir was broken

I added valgrind/massif output from akonadiserver and MySQL. Maybe it helps
you. Even with not doing that much Akonadiserver used 160MB.
