As you see, many users have confirmed that it's an nVidia bug, and it affects
other apps too. So, the Akonadi devs can do nothing about it.

I just wanted to point out, I'm affected by this bug and I'm not using the
broken 331.20 nividia driver, I'm still on 319.60. This driver was working fine
with KDE 4.10 and also akonadi was ok for me with KDE

I downgraded to 319.60 and i can still reproduce it
I could n't reproduce it with nouveau (tested 1 time)

I'm using Nvidia as well. I've checked this bug 326480 which appears to be
related and there are comments in the list where people have downgraded their
Nvidia release and they are suffering the same

Are you sure bug 329063 is a dupicate of this one? I have the problem described
in the former bug since Kmail 4.12 and had no problem with version 4.11.3.

I could resolve the problem for my setup by replacing the IMAP server. I was
working with uw-imapd before, but this server can not handle multiple
