I think I had the same problem on zesty. It started occurring AFTER I
used nvidia-settings to switch to integrated intel graphics on a Dell
XPS-15 9560 (GTX1050) and completely uninstalled nvidia drivers to get
back to a working laptop.

But for multipath it really is a dependency.

Seems that xorg has a memory leak. On 28th day of uptime it consumes 13G
of virtualy memory on my PC:

Graphics trouble after hibernation or Sleep

Hi, i am using Dell XPS 9360 Developer Edition (with ubuntu 16.04
(kernel 4.4.0)) together with TB16 docking station. I have the same
issue, if TB16 is plugged before booting, the peripherals such as the
USB port, ethernet port, USB-C port, etc. works fine. But they are not
detected once the TB16
