Joe, be aware that the vss daemon for Hyper-V only supports host
versions 5.0 and greater. As a result, it won't actually *do* anything
on Windows Server 2012. I'm not sure what the underlying issue is, but
is it spinning in an attempt to start the daemon? This really slows down
our VMs and we do

28) is to switch to using the flag (if not defined) CONFIG_64BIT in our
patch instead of "#if defined(CONFIG_X86_32)". Until we provide a patch

Per bug 1519917 once the Hyper-V support is rebased to upstream's 4.3
version, 15.10 kdump will start failing in a similar (if not the same)
way.
