It's very similar and i do sometimes experience the flickering as a precursor to the complete crash, but mostly screen goes off and it just crashes. Actually it freezes the whole PC. Keyboard is unresponsive. I installed kdump, set soft, nmi etc. watches on but the PC does not detect the crash and
