I just installed Ubuntu 22.04 on my new laptop Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED. I
noticed a weird behavior when the screens goes locked, the brightness level is
automatically increased when the screen turns on back again. I also noticed

Well... I may have found a workaround to this problem. It worked in my case at
least. The new NVIDIA driver was the culprit.
I had my share of problems with it in hibernation configurations before, so I
try to install a old version. Based in this thread found in NVIDIA forums.
Just tested this 5.13.0-1029.32~lp1977919.1 kernel and confirmed that it
fixes the issue (doesn't crash when running the same docker container
that would crash in the -1028 kernel)

I believe the "EFI stub: ERROR: FIRMWARE BUG: kernel image not aligned
on 64k boundary" that was reported on this bug is not what is preventing
the VM from booting. If you look into the full log you provided, that
message is logged both on the boot that succeeded and in the one that
got stuck.

Yes David, I've got your exact hw combination and indeed wifi sometimes
seems to "get stuck".

sudo modprobe -r rtl8723be
followed by
sudo modprobe rtl8723be
does the trick of bringing the device to life most of the times, though.
