Great job, confirmed that fix works on a Razer Blade 16 - RZ09-0483.

** Bug watch added: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #207423
What's the resolution here? I've tried every incantation of fixes and
patches. I'm currently running 6.9-rc but even that doesn't resolve the
problem. Latest installs of sof-firmwre, updating alsa tools...nothing

I thought it was worth mentioning that sound does work via the headphone
jack on Ubuntu 23.10 and that when using the speaker, audio levels are
still detected in system settings. This makes me think all codecs etc
are working but that it's a simple toggle somewhere to get the speaker
to work
Sam issue here with Razer Blade 16 2024:
cat /proc/asound/card1/codec* | grep Codec
Codec: Realtek ALC298

[950XED, Realtek ALC298, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all
Status in
I've looked further into this and dumped the CORB buffer from booting a
windows VM with working sound, using vfio passthrough based on
https://github.com/Conmanx360/QemuHDADump
Unfortunately converting these to hda-verb commands and applying on
linux didn't fix the internal speaker output.
Also get this problem of no sound output from speakers on a Razer laptop
(headphones work fine). Using firmware-sof-signed 2.2.6-1ubuntu1.2.

I'm not the original bug reporter, but thought the extra diagnostics may
assist.
