Also confirmed on Noble, same machine.
The workaround in comment #3 seems to work, but so does just changing
the refresh rate in Settings to the *other* 120Hz mode. After that the
bug doesn't occur no matter how many times I change the refresh rate.
The screen is advertised as "48-120 Hz" in
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
