Your technical storage background will enable you to understand issues and obstacles in order for you to make accurate technology decisions and drive and/or coordinate the architecture, design, implementation, and migration of proposed solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate management to customer, cross-functional teams and Sales. This includes storage systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation and ongoing support. You will lead weekly and monthly project reviews for management and customers and will drive the creation and delivery technical documentation and weekly and monthly technical reports. Your ability to lead, motivate, and encourage teamwork is essential in this team environment. *Essential Functions:* - Ability to integrate complex, diverse project activities into a total system solution where projects may consist of: new technologies, highly specialized technologies, aggressive timetables, multiple concurrent tasks, tight budgets, and span multiple areas and geographies. - Collaborate with customer and technical writer to create, produce, and deliver reporting templates and standard operating procedures and run books. - Identify, utilize and manage key resources required to meet project objectives. - Manage technical and business risk. - Control project variances and change. - Identify, coordinate and drive project activities of the managed services team and partner resources. - Hands-on skills in managing delivery of complex storage solutions, and driving identified PS business initiatives - Address and resolve high level customer issues. - Track and drive to resolution technical support issues and cases. - Organize and manage internal and customer meetings and status reviews. - Manage project to time, budget and contracted deliverables (including planning, scheduling, milestone reviews etc.) *Requirements:* - Technical expertise in the area of systems, storage, and data management. - In-depth knowledge and demonstrative skills of project management methodologies. - Superlative verbal and written communications skills are essential. - Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and people. - Ability to work collaboratively with, and to lead and motivate other employees in a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined timelines. - Strong ability to utilize spreadsheet and other project management/IT applications and tools as required for reporting, tracking charts, checklists and project scheduling. - Ability to prioritize tasks in the midst of changing priorities. - This position may require periodic travel.
