Must have TOAD experience. *Detailed description:* We would like to add an Oracle database analyst with application development experience to assist with the Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) Project Archive task for the ECTP FDNY AVL project. Specifically, we need an experienced Oracle database analyst / applications developer with strong working knowledge of data warehouses, databases and ETL processes and programming. The candidate must have experience with the entire system development lifecycle, including the design, development, implementation and testing phases. Experience with databases and data warehouse design and implementation is required. This role is to provide consulting support to a HP client in the public safety sector. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with *Oracle, data warehouses, ETL processes, and JAVA environments. * * Tasks: * · Interact with end users to gather and verify system requirements. · Identify feasibility of user requirements. · Analyze project requirements and document required database changes. · Produce accurate, coherent documentation. · Work together with the existing data warehouse team to design enhancements to an existing data warehouse without affecting ongoing activities. · Design, test and implement updates to the existing data warehouse including creating new tables and queries. · Develop programs to load data to the data warehouse. · Design and develop a report interface to the data warehouse. · Design and develop user reports based on end user requirements. · Develop a real time connection between a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system and the data warehouse. · Develop Data Warehouse lookups. · Develop test plans and test procedures. · Execute test procedures to verify requirements are satisfied by the system developed. · Provide solutions that meet user requirements and satisfy the existing business needs. *Qualifications & skills: * · Strong knowledge in use of Oracle Designer or another suitable entity relationship design tool · Expert in SQL, PL/SQL · Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle 9i / 10g · Hands on coding experience in Java / J2EE environments · Experience using Oracle JDeveloper · ETL · Strong analytical skills · Strong writing skills · Good communication skills · Good time-management skills · Well-organized, accurate · Knowledge of Oracle ADF · Knowledge of Toad We would like this resource to start ASAP. The role is Sr. System Architect, SP3 for approx. 6 months (with possible extension for other work). Work must be done on site (Monday - Friday) 8-5.
