Hmm, I don't know. I guess I would do it like Windows95 and just use Standard Serial Mouse protocol. That should make most people happy ( like 99 % .. like the ones that complain a lot :P ). People do not exspect Ubuntu to work with every obscure hardware ( well some probably do ) but it
