I've fixed this typing:
sudo cp /usr/share/services/xine_part.desktop /opt/kde3/share/services/
It seems that kaffeine can't find xine_part.desktop in the old kde3
place after upgrading to the new kdelibs4c2a which are compiled with
/opt/kde3 as prefix.
That worked for me, thanks.

Just upgraded to Kubuntu 9.4 today.
When run from the KDE Application Launcher, System Settings reproducibly
crashes silently without bringing up any window at all (not even KDE Crash
Handler).

I have a workaround for this bug, although I'm unsure if Ubuntu has the
needed package for it since it came from the Arch Linux forums.
Anyway, instead of telling the GTK-QT-Engine to use the same as KDE,
download and install the Oxygen GTK theme and set it to that instead. It
kills this problem

I use the KDE webdavs ioslave to connect to a webdav service. After
upgrading to Jaunty (KDE 4.2.2), the webdavs ioslave no longer works.
The site I connect to uses basic authentication. I checked the webdav
ioslave and experienced the same
