That's a surprise as, here in the States (where I know you live) even OfficeMax, Staples, Kinkos etc offer spiral binding. Two of the difficulties with spiral binding are 1 no spine, so you have to pull them off the shelf to identify which book you want, and 2 the plastic covers can rip off
