Our local library now has a studio with all sorts of craft equipment for

Many thanks. Springetts don't seem to sell fan patterns any more (or at
least, I couldn't spot them on their site.
My recollection was that LJ Fountain took over the Springett business, and
then closed, and that Roseground took over from them, but I'm not seeing fan
patterns on Roseground
We look forward to seeing it finished and framed at Sweet Briar this year.

The lace and costumes at the Czech Slovak Museum are well worth a visit.
I went to a special exhibit they held while my son was at college nearby and
enjoyed it a lot. I saw that the committee said that they are working with
this museum
I would also recommend a trip to the Amana colonies

Coralville is the best part of 4 hours drive from Chicago O'Hare. (Our son
went to college 19 miles from Coralville, so we travelled that road many
times to see performances)
If you like fabrics, while there you need to visit Stephanie Brandenburg's
That's a surprise as, here in the States (where I know you live) even
OfficeMax, Staples, Kinkos etc offer spiral binding.
Two of the difficulties with spiral binding are
1 no spine, so you have to pull them off the shelf to identify which book
you want, and
2 the plastic covers can rip off

have forwarded the information given to my friend, who is thrilled that you
would all offer so many comments so quickly - and from countries all round
the world too
