The email problems at The Lace Guild have now all been fixed. British Telecom restored the broadband yesterday, and I managed to reestablish email forwarding from specific .org addresses last night. Any email to the latter which was sent within about the last four days should now have been

Hello Anne, I am sorry but there is no shop for lacers in HH. All lacers here get their stuff by snail-mail from one of the dealers like Gebriele oder Heikina de Ruyiter or others. And still the laces aren't on display in our museums and at the moment the room with the Lacemaker by Liebermann

Anne and all, I had the opportunity to go to Germany last year. I had asked in advance about lace and found that there isn't the lace of an American's dreams there. What I did find was that there still exists there old fashion department stores that have craft and sewing departments.
