Earlier this month we visited Le Puy-en-Velay and the Auvergne region
of France, partly for a holiday and partly to take part in the 20th
Lace Couvige organized by the Centre d'Enseignement de la Dentelle au
Fuseau in Le Puy. We've mounted some photos of the couvige at

You may remember that the University of Southampton in England is closing the
Textile Conservation Centre in Winchester - something which would leave the
UK without any training facilities for conservation specialists.
Some good news that I have just received on the email list of the Online

We've had a couple of emails from people using Firefox not being able to see
the pictures in the windows of The Lace Guild Advent Calendar. After consulting
with the Forensic Department at the North Pole we have ascertained that the
