I would like to thank all those participants in the Arachne exchanges the
last years who love to make and share lace. Let's allow the fun to begin
again. Cards can be displayed all year long so they are cherished with
fond memories.
This year the schedule will go like

A suggestion re using pens, etc., may I suggest you invest in some lignin
free pens. You can get them in the scrapbook section of Michaels or Hobby
Lobby. They work great have no acid properties on them as regular pens

In 2005 I had a fire at my house and lost all of my lace pillows. About 3
years ago I decided to take it up again and started from
scratch...literally.
My oldest pillow is a homemade roller pillow I take back and forth to work.
It's made of a a scrap of foam
Each piece of the pattern is actually a graphics file and can be copied. To
get the pattern to fit on a page is to do this...
1. Open a screen in Word. Set the page size to Legal and all margins to
0.5.
2. Go to the screen with the pattern. Put your cursor on one section of the
pattern and
down on the work. It fits
beautifully.

I bought the dowel and some long wooden beads years ago with the intent of
using
it to make long bobbins for doing yarn lace. It is on my someday list.
Teaching - well my guild is having it's third class this year for beginners in
November and without any advertising we already have 9 people

I didn't spot any lacemakers in Arizona on the map but do know there is an
active lace guild over there as one of our members from Illinois joined a
guild. I believe it was the Lacey Ladies of Arizona. There is one lady listed

I have taken bamboo knitting needles on transatlantic flights from the US and
had no problem. You can also use them within the US but not on flights from
Canada. I think you can even use metal ones in the US but as advised, better
to check with your airline. I also would run a spare
