As I understand it jpegicc will apply a profile, but will not attach
one. Applying involves re-compression of the data, which I want to
avoid.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a (preferably free as in speech) tool for Linux
which will embed a ICC profile in a JPEG file? My camera is producing
images in the Adobe RGB colour space but is not embedding a ICC profile,
which is making getting good prints painful. convert from ImageMagick
will do
command line: use jpegicc coming with lcms
gui: CinePaint www.cinepaint.org
