Hello,
using LibreOffice 7.6.4 with Windows 11 and 1920 x 1080 screen resolution ( the
processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8350U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.90 GHz), I have tried
to change the very small font size in tool bar and pop-up windows via "Tools ->
Options -> Libreoffice -> Font Lists -> From" in the respective input field,
but to no avail. Whatever font size I choose in this field only has the effect
that e.g. "14 pixels" instead of "12 pixels" is shown in this field, but it
does not change anything on the UI - even after restarting LO, while changing
LO's icon size in the same submenu under "Tools -> Option" (same path as above)
works fine.
Changing font size on OS level also has no effect, while in contrast I did
successfully change MS Word menu font size on this level.
Is there any other menu option or maybe some property or configuration file in
which I can change this font size in LO? Is this a known bug and maybe there
already is a bug fix? Might it be worth trying LO 7.5.9. or might a system
restart suddenly show the new font size?
I am really interested in giving LibreOffice a try, but the font size I have
currently in tool bar and menus of LO, is too small to work with.
BTW: I have have chosen "major" as severity for this bug as I do not see how
users with, for example, reading glasses might be willing to use your product
under Windows if they cannot have a suitable font size in toolbar, menus, and
popup windows. If this severity is reserved for bugs that cause LO to crash,
feel free to change this assessment. Still, I think it might be a pity if users
might not use a mature and sophisticated, and above all, free office suite for
the simple reason that they cannot change its display font size in a way they
feel comfortable with.
