Bug ID: 154526 Summary: [EDITING] Character styles should be available in toolbars, similar to paragraph styles Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: nora@nora.codes Description: I work with a publisher that extensively uses Microsoft Word. I am able to perfectly replicate their workflow in LibreOffice Writer with the single exception of the use of character styles, which are pretty annoying to use because I have to have the character styles open in the right-hand pane. Character styles should be available in a dropdown (drop-down) menu which can be added to the toolbar, similarly to paragraph styles. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Tools -> Customize. 2. Select Toolbars tab. 3. Search for "character styles". Actual Results: There is no available toolbar component for character styles. Expected Results: There should be a toolbar component similar to the paragraph styles dropdown component for character styles. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.7.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 30(Build:2) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 1:7.3.7-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
