Hi, I had the same problem—in both Calc and Writer (when in Web Layout), OS X
with 4.2.1.1.
I can confirm, the problem has been fixed on 4.2.3 Beta for Calc and Writer. It

Yes, I did that for my last comment, as you suggested. It's happening with
every font I have tried. In the steps I just set out, it was the default font
