I changed the name of the category from "Heat Pump/Mini-Split" to simply

Hi Arthur,
A central heat pump would use an air handler like your current system but the
compressor would be outside. It would have the advantage of heating and
cooling in one unit. I put some possible contacts below that had been collected

Hi Art,
When we moved to Lincoln a couple of years ago, we updated the existing
central ac system (~20 yrs old) to a heat pump. We used Advanced
Mechanical Systems (http://advancedmechanical.net/) to do the work. They
were great to work with. They have been out to do annual service /
I would hope there is insurance to cover this1

Arthur,
If you are replacing your completed HVAC system (heating and cooling), you
may want to consider shifting to a geothermal system so you can shift away

I would like to get some recommendations for contractors to replace a 20
year old forced air heating and AC system. I am interested in competitive
pricing of course, but also in integrity, response to service calls, and
maintenance contracts. If you have experience in the past couple of years,

When the roof leaked before, the staff was offered jobs at other Donelan's
temporarily so they still had work. I'm sure with the current labor shortage,
that temporary relief would be appreciated again.

Dear Lincoln Talk,
Donelan’s recently experienced water in the basement which led to mechanical
issues. The forecast and hope is that they will be fixed by the weekend,
allowing them to reopen then.
We will keep you posted if any changes and regret any inconvenience this may
cause.

I agree with Dan. We’ve replaced two sliding doors plus side light window (

We used Andersen Replacement Windows Service to replace all our windows and
several sliders, as well as a custom bay window, a year or two ago. Couldn’t be
happier with the outcome.

Recommendations from those of you who have done a project within the last year

Many thanks

I just called Donelan's in Wayland. Seems the basement in Lincoln's store was
flooded. It will be closed for "a while." Don't know how long. The comment
was "bad building." I was just relieved to hear all people were well - though
I doubt they will be paid for the time they can't work. I
